Often poor design can be defeated with intelligent and timely interventions. In this case a building of high value due to its location has outlived it relevance both in terms of property type and a now dated and overwrought decorative style. It also had a heavy introspective plan that didn’t allow for positive and lucrative reuse.
The proposed interventions in this tower were podium replanning and complete re-skinning to resolve these issues of temporal economic fatigue and allow the buildings infrastructure and mass to be retained while quickly injecting new life into pivotal urban location.
